摘要:
D-(-)-Quinic acid (D-(-)-QA) exhibits protective effects against thioacetamide-induced hepatic encephalopathy (HE) in rats by mitigating inflammation and oxidative stress. The study reveals that D-(-)-QA significantly reduces serum ammonia levels and improves liver function markers, while also suppressing proinflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-1β. The findings suggest that D-(-)-QA could serve as a promising therapeutic candidate for treating HE, highlighting its potential in addressing liver dysfunction through modulation of the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway.
