摘要:
Caspase-3, traditionally known for its role in apoptosis, has been identified as a crucial regulator of melanoma cell motility. This study demonstrates that caspase-3 interacts with coronin 1B, enhancing its activity and promoting cell migration and invasion. The findings suggest that targeting the SP1 transcription factor, which regulates caspase-3 expression, could provide a novel therapeutic strategy to combat melanoma metastasis. This research opens new avenues for understanding the non-apoptotic functions of caspases in cancer progression.
