摘要:
Chronic GENUS, a non-invasive 40 Hz light flicker treatment, has been shown to significantly reduce seizure susceptibility and improve cognitive function in a mouse model of epilepsy. The study identifies the involvement of specific neural circuits, particularly the dorsal lateral geniculate nucleus (dLGN) shell and parvalbumin-expressing interneurons (PVINs) in the primary visual cortex (V1), in mediating these effects. This research suggests a promising avenue for epilepsy treatment through targeted visual stimulation.
