Electrochemical sensor based on Co3O4 and Au nanoparticles for simultaneous determination of As3+ and Hg2+ by stripping voltammetry
A novel electrochemical sensor based on Co3O4 and Au nanoparticles was developed for the simultaneous detection of arsenic (As3+) and mercury (Hg2+) in environmental water samples. The sensor demonstrated high sensitivity with detection limits of 0.31 ppb for Hg2+ and 0.46 ppb for As3+. It was characterized by excellent linearity across a wide dynamic range and successfully tested on real water samples, indicating its potential for environmental monitoring of heavy metal contamination.
